About Us

~~ Steven & Jennifer, Jack & Nathan ~~

Jennifer & Steven met on August 24, 1997 in Baltimore, Maryland.  Steve was travelling with the Royal Air Force, doing an exchange with the Maryland Air Guard, & Jen just happened to be waiting tables where the lads went for drinks on arrival.  The rest, as they say, is history!

The Rochester Visit, April 18, 2001

April 18, 2001 ~ Steve & Jen in the captian's seat on board the Hercules C130J

Steve treated Jen's family & friends to a private viewing of his aircraft when he re-routed through Rochester Airport during a States visit.  After watching his landing, two buses took us all to the aircraft, where we met the crew and had a tour of Fat Albert.  Afterwards we all went out for dinner and drinks to celebrate Jen's mom's birthday!

Up Until Now

May 16, 1998 sure seems like a lifetime ago! That's when Jen moved from Rochester, NY, to Wiltshire, England, to live with Steve, where he is based with the Royal Air Force as a pilot, Tactical Instructor, and air show display pilot for the C130J Hercules.

So much has changed since Jen came to England, most memorably our marriage in Rochester on July 10, 1999, and the birth of our two sons, Jack (March 30, 2002) and Nathan (September 18, 2003)We are also Dad and Step-Mom to Alex, age 9, who lives with his mother in Yorkshire, and visits as often as possible, and is VERY excited about coming for long visits in Upstate New York!

We've been through so much in our time together, from expanding our little family, to illnesses, broken bones, and some rather long detachments ... even war! There certainly hasn't been a dull moment ~ or barely a chance to stand still.

Our 5th Anniversary ~ July 10, 2004

What's Ahead

Now, Steve's retirement from the RAF is fast approaching, and this chapter in our lives is nearly complete.  Looking forward to what is next, he has recently submitted job applications with civilain, commercial airlines (like JetBlue and British Airways, to name a couple).  Jen is researching pre-schools for both boys, as Nathan is now old enough to join Jack, and of course the search is on for a house!  We already have arranged our apartment details in Webster, New York, where Jen gew up, and her extended family still reside.  We plan to be there for between six months and a year while Steve attands interviews and we find a home we love.
